The collection contains correspondence between Ingamells and literary personalities like G. Ballantyne, J. Devaney, J. Hudson, Miles Franklin, Moodie-Meddle and C. Jury; correspondence with the Commonwealth Literary Fund; manuscript and drafts of books, articles and poetry written by Ingamells. It also contains the N.S.W. Muster Rolls, June-Sept. 1835 (manuscript) and the N.S.W. Gaols daily reports at H.M. Gaol, Richmond, 16/11/1837; 21/12/1838 (manuscript).
