The collection contains both manuscript and printed material. Some of the printed material, mainly poetry by Ingamaells and his colleagues, has been catalogued. The collection contains correspondence between Ingamells and literary personalities like G. Ballantyne, J. Devaney, J. Hudson, Miles Franklin, Moodie-Meddle and C. Jury; correspondence with the Commonwealth Literary Fund; manuscript and drafts of books, articles and poetry written by Ingamells. It also contains the N.S.W. Muster Rolls, June-Sept. 1835 (manuscript) and the N.S.W. Gaols daily reports at H.M. Gaol, Richmond, 16/11/1837; 21/12/1838 (manuscript).
